OATMEAL CAKE 
CAKE:

1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 stick corn oil butter
2 eggs
1 1/3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla

ICING:

3/4 c. brown sugar
1 stick butter
2 tbsp. milk
1 c. pecans, broken
1 c. coconut

Pour 1 1/2 cups hot water over 1 cup oatmeal. Let stand awhile. Cream sugars, butter and eggs. Add dry ingredients, then oatmeal mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. Sugar can be cut by 1/4 if preferred.

ICING: Boil sugar, butter and milk abot dry ingredients, then oatmeal mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. Sugar can be cut by 1/4 if preferred.

ICING: Boil sugar, butter and milk abut one minute. Add pecans and coconut. Spread on cake and put under broiler and cook until bubbling.
