CHILI VERDE | |
2 lbs. extra lean boneless pork, cut into 1 inch cubes 1 lb. boneless beef chuck, cut into 1 inch cubes 1 lg. green pepper, seeded and chopped 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 (28 oz.) can crushed tomatoes 1 (4 oz.) can green chili peppers, drained, seeded, and chopped 1/3 c. chopped parsley 1 tsp. sugar 2 tsp. cumin seed 2 whole cloves 1/2 c. beef broth Combine all ingredients in crock pot. Stir thoroughly. Cover and cook on low setting for 8 to 10 hours. Before serving, taste for seasoning. About 3 quarts. |
