BIG DADDY'S PINTO BEANS 
4 lbs. choice pinto beans
1 lb. salt pork diced, or bacon ends or ham may be used
4 jalapeno peppers, chopped fine
1 lg. onion, diced
4 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. garlic salt
1 tsp. oregano
4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. white or black pepper
Paprika (optional)

Wash beans, cover with water. Soak overnight. Bring to boil and let simmer in covered pot at 180 to 200 degrees for approximately 4 hours. Add hot water, if needed. Do not stir beans while cooking. M-m-m-m-m-m-m good beans.
