PECAN SNOWBALLS 
2 c. butter, softened
1 c. granulated sugar
3 tsp. vanilla
5 c. flour
3 c. finely ground pecans
Powdered sugar

With an electric mixer, cream butter and sugar until they are cream and light in color. Add vanilla. Gradually add flour, mixing them in by hand. Form the batter into balls the size of walnuts and place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 325 degrees for 1/2 hour or until the cookies are light tan in color. Roll in powdered sugar while still warm. Let cookies cool for several hours. Roll in powdered sugar again, and store in a covered container.
