BABY RUTH COOKIES 
1 egg
1 1/3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. butter or other shortening
2 1/2 c. Baby Ruth candy bar, cut in sm. pieces

Cream butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in egg. Stir in other ingredients. Chill and drop by half teaspoon in greased cookie sheet. Bake in a moderately hot oven (375 degrees).
