NUT SHORTBREAD 
1 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
2/3 c. nuts, chopped

Mix butter and sugar together. Sift the salt and flour; add to creamed butter. Stir in the nuts and mix thoroughly. Chill for 1 hour. Roll out to a 1/2 inch thickness. Cut into 1 1/2 inch circles. Bake at 300 degrees for 20 minutes. Makes 2 dozen.
