YORKSHIRE BUN LOAF 
1 lb. (about 4 cups) all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. mixed spice
4 oz. (1/2 cup) sugar
1 tbsp. golden syrup
6 oz. dried fruit (currants, raisins, cherries)
4 oz. (1 stick) butter
1 egg
Milk, to mix

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Sift together the flour, baking powder and baking soda, spice, sugar and salt. Rub in butter. Stir in fruit.

Turn into a greased and floured bundt pan or loaf pans and bake for 1 hour.
