ENGLISH MUFFIN BREAD 
5 1/2 to 6 c. flour
2 pkgs. yeast, not rapid rise
1 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
2 c. milk
1/2 c. water
Yellow cornmeal

Combine 3 cups flour, yeast, sugar, salt and soda. Heat liquids to 135 degrees; add to dry mixture. Stir in enough of remaining flour to make a stiff batter. Spoon into 2 1/2 x 4 1/2 inch bread pans that have been greased and sprinkled with cornmeal. Cover, let rise in warm place. (Oven with light on and door closed works well) for 25 minutes. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes. Remove from pans immediately.
