ENERGY LOAF 
1 1/2 lbs. beef liver
1 1/2 c. dry bread crumbs
1/4 c. Crisco
1 1/4 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. minced onion
1 egg
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. paprika
3 tbsp. parsley

Pour boiling water over liver, let stand 5 minutes. Drain liver and chop it. Add all other ingredients. Mix thoroughly, shape into loaf. Brush with Crisco. Place loaf in baking dish. Add 1 1/2 cups water. Bake in moderate oven, 350 degrees about 1 hour. Baste occasionally. Delicious if you add 1 cup tomato soup 15 minutes before taking from oven.
