BAKED LASAGNA | |
1/4 lb. lasagna noodles 2 tbsp. vegetable oil 1 lb. ground beef 1 clove garlic 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce 2 1/2 c. canned tomatoes 1 tbsp. chopped parsley 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. sweet basil 1/2 tsp. oregano 1/2 tsp. sugar 1/8 tsp. pepper 1 lb. ricotta cheese 2 c. Mozzarella cheese 1/3 c. Parmesan cheese In skillet brown beef and garlic in oil. Stir in tomato sauce, tomatoes, and seasonings; simmer uncovered for 30 minutes. Cook lasagna noodles, according to directions. In bottom of shallow baking pan, spoon 1/2 meat sauce; arrange 1/2 lasagna over top. Spoon 1/2 ricotta cheese on lasagna; sprinkle 1/2 Parmesan cheese and 1/3 of Mozzarella cheese over top. Form another layer with remaining lasagna, ricotta and Parmesan cheese and 1/3 of Mozzarella cheese. Top with remaining meat sauce; sprinkle with 1/3 of Mozzarella cheese. Bake uncovered in preheated 350 degree oven for 45 minutes. |
