CHERRY COFFEE CAKE 
1 c. butter
1 3/4 c. sugar
4 eggs
3 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 can cherry pie filling

Cream butter and sugar, add vanilla and eggs and beat well. Add flour, salt and baking powder. Beat well (mixture will be thick).

Spread into greased 10 1/2 x 15 1/2 (jelly roll) pan. Dot with cherry pie filling. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes or until golden brown. Sprinkle with powdered sugar when cooled.
