MOSTACCIOLI ROMANO 
1 lb. ground chuck
3 to 4 slices cooked and chopped bacon
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 c. olive or salad oil
Parmesan cheese
1 med. onion, chopped
1 (6 oz.) tomato paste
1 lg. can tomatoes
6 oz. mushrooms, optional

Brown onion in oil. Cook bacon and drain and crumble. Add bacon and ground chuck and seasonings to onion and brown. Drain. Add tomatoes, cook one hour. Add tomato paste and simmer 15 minutes. Serve with mostaccioli and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese if desired.
