2 c. sifted flour
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. shortening
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 egg, slightly beaten
4 tbsp. milk
4 chocolate malted candy bars, cut in small pieces

Combine sifted flour, salt and baking powder. Cream butter until light yellow and creamy. Add eggs; mix thoroughly. Add flour and milk alternately. Add cut-up pieces of candy bars and vanilla; mix well. Drop by teaspoons on greased cookie sheet. Bake 10 minutes in 375 degree oven. Makes 5 dozen cookies.
