ICE BOX DESSERT 
1 c. powdered sugar
1/3 c. butter
3 egg yolks
1 tsp. vanilla
2 squares unsweetened chocolate
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 1/2 c. crushed vanilla wafers
3 egg whites
1 1/2 qt. vanilla ice cream

Put 1 cup wafers in 9" square pan. Cream butter and powdered sugar. Add egg yolks and beat well. Mix in 3 beaten egg whites and pour mixture on wafers. Top with soft ice cream. Top with remaining vanilla wafers and nuts. Store in freezer with aluminum foil on top.
