BUTTERHORN ROLLS | |
1 c. milk 1/2 c. shortening 1 pkg. yeast 1/2 c. sugar 1 tsp. salt 3 eggs, slightly beaten 4 c. flour Melted butter Scald milk, then remove from heat; add shortening. Combine yeast and sugar. Add to lukewarm milk mixture. Add salt and beaten eggs to mixture; mix well. Add flour and mix well. Let rise until double in size, about 2 to 3 hours. Place on floured board and divide into 3 parts. Roll each section into a circle 1/2" thick. Brush with melted butter. Cut each section into 6 pieces like cutting a pie. Roll each piece toward the point. Place piece on greased pan with pointed edge underneath. Brush again with butter. Let rise until double in size and bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. |
