COCONUT POUND CAKE 
2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1 c. buttermilk
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. coconut flavoring
5 eggs
1 c. Crisco
1 can coconut

Cream Crisco and sugar together. Add eggs one at a time and beat 2 minutes each. Add dry ingredients and buttermilk alternately. Bake one hour at 350 degrees.

GLAZE:

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. coconut flavoring

Add ingredients and boil one minute. Pour over HOT cake.
