WHOOPIE PIES AND FILLING 
Cookie:

1 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/3 c. cocoa
1/3 c. vegetable oil
3/4 c. milk
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla

Sift together the flour, soda, cocoa and sugar. Add oil, then add the rest of the ingredients. Drop by tablespoonful on a greased cookie sheet.

Bake in a 350°F oven for about 8 minutes.

Filling:

1 c. confectionary sugar
3/4 stick of butter, softened
1/2 of a 12 oz. container of marshmallow fluff

Beat together the sugar, butter and marshmallow until fluffy and spread between 2 whoopie pies. Wrap individually in waxed paper. Store in a tin container.

An optional filling can be made using 2 cups confectionary sugar, 1/8 teaspoon salt, 1/2 cup shortening, softened, and 2 egg whites which have been slightly beaten. Mix in order given.
