ORANGE CANDY CAKE 
2 sticks butter
4 eggs
2 c. sugar
3-1/2 c. flour
1/2 lb. orange candy
1/2 lb. chopped dates
1 sm. can coconut
2 c. powdered sugar
1 c. orange juice
2 c. chopped pecans
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda

Melt butter; mix first 3 ingredients. Add 3 cups flour, cut candy and dates in small pieces. Roll in 1/2 cup of flour and dissolve soda in milk; add to flour mixture; mix well. Mix all together and add coconut and pecans. Bake in 250 degree oven for 2-1/2 hours. Cool for 30 minutes. Take out of pan and let cool all the way, having top side up. Cover top with 1/2 cup pecans. Punch holes with fork. Heat juice and sugar; pour over.
