1/2 c. Crisco or butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda

Cream first 4 ingredients together. Sift flour, baking powder, and baking soda together. Add 3/4 cup buttermilk and the sifted dry ingredients alternately to creamed mixture. Add 1/2 cup chopped nuts and 1 cup mashed bananas. Bake at 350 degrees.
