MILKY WAY® CAKE | |
8 lg. MILKY WAY® bars 2 c. butter 2 c. sugar 4 eggs 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 1/4 c. buttermilk 2 1/2 c. sifted flour 2 c. chopped nuts 1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. 2. Combine candy and 1 cup butter in double boiler. Cook over hot (not boiling) water - set aside. 3. Cream sugar and remaining butter until light. Add eggs, one at a time beating well after each addition. Beat until light and fluffy. 4. Dissolve baking soda in buttermilk and add to creamed mixture, alternately with flour. Add melted candy and nuts, mix until smooth. Spoon into 2 (9 inch) cake pans. Bake 35-40 minutes. ICING: 4 MILKY WAY® bars 1 stick butter (butter) 2 tbsp. sweet milk Beat until smooth and add approximately 1 cup powdered sugar or enough to spread smooth. |
