MACARONI AND CHEESE | |
2 1/2 c. water 1 tsp. salt 1 c. uncooked macaroni 1/4 lb. sharp cheese 1/4 lb. mild cheddar cheese 4 tbsp. melted butter 2 eggs, beaten 2 c. milk 1/2 tsp. salt Bring water and teaspoon salt to boil; add macaroni and cook until tender, 8 minutes. Drain and let cool. Put a layer of macaroni in a baking dish and cover with layer of cheese. Repeat. Dip melted butter over the macaroni. Combine eggs, milk and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Pour over macaroni and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. |
