SPICED FRUIT COMPOTE 
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. ground nutmeg
1 c. water
1/4 c. lemon juice
4 c. fresh orange sections
1 c. fresh grapefruit sections

Combine sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and water; bring to a boil, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice; cool. Combine orange and grapefruit sections; pour syrup over fruit. Chill. Makes 8 servings.
