ALMOND BRITTLE 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. white syrup
1/4 c. water
1/2 stick butter
2 or more cups raw almonds

Combine all ingredients and cook on high until light golden brown-almonds may begin to pop-the mixture should be cooked down. Remove from heat and mix in one heaping teaspoon baking soda-mixture becomes foamy-pour onto buttered cookie sheet. Cool completely and break into pieces.
