PINEAPPLE TORTE 
40 Ritz crackers
1 1/4 c. sugar
4 egg whites
1 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. baking powder
2 envelopes Dream Whip
1 (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained well

Beat egg whites medium stiff. Add sugar and baking powder slowly. Keep beating, add nuts. Fold in crackers. Put in 9x13 inch Pyrex dish. Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool.

Whip Dream Whip according to package directions. Add softened cream cheese and beat well. Fold in pineapple. Mix well. Spread over cooled crust. Refrigerate overnight.
