CRUNCHY BACON APPETIZERS 
1 lb. bacon
1 to 2 cans water chestnuts
Brown sugar

Separate bacon strips. If water chestnuts are large you will need to use a whole strip of bacon, otherwise half strips will do. Sprinkle brown sugar generously over the bacon strips and gently wrap them around chestnuts. Secure with a toothpick. Bake on a foil-lined cookie sheet at 350 degrees for approximately 20 minutes, or until crisp. Serve warm.
