MICROWAVE SPEEDY HOMESTYLE
CASSEROLE (600 WATTS)
 
1/2 lb. ground beef
2 tbsp. chopped onion
1 (8 oz.) can cream style corn
1/4 c. quick cooking rice
1/4 c. water
Dash of pepper
1/4 c. shredded Cheddar cheese

Crumble ground beef into 1-quart microwave casserole. Add onion. Microwave on high uncovered 3 to 3 1/2 minutes or until no longer pink, stirring once. Stir to break meat into pieces; drain. Stir in corn, rice, water and pepper. Cover with casserole lid. Microwave on high 4 1/2 to 5 minutes or until rice is tender, stirring once. Sprinkle with cheese. Let stand a few minutes before serving. 2 servings, 375 calories each.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
