APPLE DATE CAKE 
2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. allspice

Mix together all dry ingredients. 1 jar Musselman's apple pie filling 1 (20 oz.) can apple slices, drained 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 c. oil 1 c. chopped nuts 1 c. chopped dates

Combine eggs, pie filling, oil and vanilla. Stir into flour mixture and mix well. Stir in dates and nuts. Pour into greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes. Cool. Serve with a dollop of Cool Whip.
