PECAN PIE SQUARES 
3 c. flour
1/4 c. + 2 tbsp. sugar
3/4 c. butter
3/4 tsp. salt
4 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. light Karo
3 tbsp. melted butter
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. chopped pecans

Mix flour, sugar, butter and salt until crumbly. Press firmly in bottom of jelly roll pan. Bake 20 minutes until lightly brown.

FILLING: Mix eggs, sugar, syrup, butter and vanilla. Pour over baked layer. Top with pecans. Bake 25 minutes. Cool, then cut into squares.
