2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. cocoa
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. oats, uncooked
1/2 c. nuts or raisins (optional)

Mix first 5 ingredients together in pan and place over heat. Bring to full rolling boil and boil 1 minute. Remove from heat and quickly stir in oats and nuts or raisins. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto wax paper. Makes about 4 dozen.
