BRAN MUFFINS 
1 c. boiling water
1 c. Nabisco 100% Bran
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. salad oil
2 eggs
2 1/2 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. buttermilk
2 c. Kellogg's Bran Buds or All-Bran
1 1/2 c. raisins
1 tsp. orange peel, grated (optional)

Pour water over the 100% Bran; set aside. Cream sugar and oil; add eggs. Sift flour, baking soda and salt together. Add alternately with buttermilk to the creamed mixture. Add Bran Buds (or All-Bran), raisins and orange peel. Set in refrigerator overnight. Mix well before using (if necessary, can be thinned a little with buttermilk). Will keep in refrigerator up to two weeks. Make in baking cups as needed. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Do not overbake. Makes 3 1/2 dozen.
