24 DEGREE LETTUCE SALAD | |
1 head lettuce 1 c. celery, sliced 4 eggs, hard boiled, sliced 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas, uncooked, thawed 1/2 c. green pepper, sliced 1 sm. onion, sliced 8 slices bacon, fried, diced 2 c. mayonnaise 2 tbsp. sugar 4 oz. Cheddar, grated Tear lettuce into small bite size pieces. Place in glass dish 9 x 12 but deep. Layer rest of ingredients in order given. Add sugar to mayonnaise and "frost" the salad. Top with grated cheese, cover and refrigerate at 8 to 12 degrees at least. I usually do it the day before. |
