CHIEF OF SECURITY COOKS: MEAT
LOAF
 
1 lb. ground beef or sirloin or round
1/2 lb. ground pork or sausage
1 c. cracker crumbs
2 eggs
1 pkg. dry onion soup mix or 2 minced onions
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. garlic
1 can tomato soup
2 bay leaves

Mix all and shape into loaf. Put in loaf pan. Add leaves. Bake, uncovered 1/2 hour. Drain off fat. Top with soup. Bake another 1/2 to 3/4 hour. Remove loaf, set aside on warm oven. Throw out bay leaves. Separate grease from soup sauce. Slice loaf. 3 to 6 servings.
