SPICY PUMPKIN CAKE 
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. butter, softened
2 eggs
3/4 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. canned pumpkin
1/2 c. light molasses
2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. finely shredded orange peel
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
Sifted powdered sugar

Grease and lightly flour a 13x9x2 inch baking pan. In mixer bowl cream together brown sugar and butter until light. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Combine buttermilk, pumpkin and molasses. Thoroughly stir together flour, orange peel, soda, salt and spices.
