HEAVENLY ONION CASSEROLE 
2 tbsp. butter
1 c. chopped onion
1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
1/2 lb. Swiss cheese, shredded
10 (1 inch thick) slices French bread
1 can cream of chicken soup
1/2 c. milk
2 tsp. soy sauce
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper

Butter a 9 x 13 inch casserole. Saute onion and mushrooms until tender. Spread evenly in casserole. Sprinkle with cheese. Place bread over cheese. Mix remaining ingredients and pour over bread. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Bake 1/2 hour at 350 degrees from room temperature stage.
