PIZZA SAUCE 
1/2 bushel tomatoes
3 lb. onions, chopped
4 hot peppers, chopped
2 lg. garlic buds; optional
1 tbsp. oregano
1/2 c. salt
1 pt. cooking oil
1 tbsp. sweet basil
1/2 c. sugar
6-12 oz. cans tomato paste

Cook tomatoes, onions, and peppers; strain. Add rest of ingredients. Cook until thick. Can and process pints for 25 minutes and quarts for 30 minutes.
