NORWEGIAN TOAST | |
1 c. butter 2 eggs 3 3/4 c. flour 1 tsp. cardamom seed (ground or crushed) 1 1/2 c. sugar 1 c. sour cream 1 tsp. baking soda Cream butter and sugar; add eggs. Blend in sour cream, flour, soda and cardamom. Spoon in 2 long rows on cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes. While warm, slice about 1/2" to 3/4" thick. Lay on cookie sheet and toast in a 375 degree oven for 15 minutes. Flip over halfway through to toast the other side. |
