BUTTER BAKED CARROT STICKS 
1 (1 lb.) pkg. carrots
2 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
4 tbsp. butter (1/2 stick)

Pare carrots; cut in 3-inch-long sticks. Place in a shallow 6-cup baking dish. Sprinkle with seasonings; dot with butter. Cover. Bake in hot oven (400 degrees) for 45 minutes, or until tender. Makes 6 servings.
