IAN'S FAVORITE GREEN BEANS 
1 (10 oz.) pkg. Italian green beans
2 tbsp. olive oil
1 sm. clove garlic or 1/8 tsp. dried, minced garlic
1 tbsp. chopped parsley
1/2 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. mixed Italian seasoning
Salt & pepper to taste
1/2 c. beef broth (bouillon cube & water okay)
1 sm. to med. tomato, sliced thin

Put beans and olive oil in medium saucepan. Cook over medium heat, covered, 10 minutes, stirring occasionally to break beans apart. Add remaining ingredients, except tomato. Reduce heat to medium low and simmer, covered for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add tomato and simmer 5 to 10 minutes more, uncovered to reduce the liquid a bit.
