LOWER CALORIE GRANOLA | |
3 c. rolled oats 1 1/2 c. wheat germ 1/4 c. dry milk 1/4 c. chopped nuts or seeds 1/2 c. raisins 1/3 c. oil 1/3 c. honey 1/4 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. vanilla extract Mix oats, wheat germ, dry milk and chopped nuts in large bowl. Heat and stir oil and honey in small saucepan until blended, about 2 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in cinnamon and vanilla. Drizzle honey mixture over oat mixture and stir thoroughly. Spread on 2 cookie sheets and bake at 300 degrees for 10 minutes. Remove and stir well. Bake 10 minutes more, remove and stir. Bake 5 minutes more. Cool completely; add raisins and store in air tight container. Serve with skim milk. Serves 24. |
