3/4 c. mayonnaise
3/4 c. sugar
2 1/2 c. sifted all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
2/3 c. cold water
2 tbsp. molasses

Combine mayonnaise and sugar. Sift dry ingredients together. Add with mayonnaise and sugar. Whip mixture with water and molasses until smooth. Bake in 9 inch square pan at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes.

ICING:

Powdered sugar, butter and 1 teaspoon instant coffee. Blend well. Ice when cake is cool.
