SHRIMP CREOLE | |
1/2 c. chopped onions 1/2 c. chopped celery 3 tbsp. salad oil 1 lb. can tomatoes, chopped real sm. 1 can tomato sauce 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. sugar 3/4 tsp. chili powder 2 tsp. cornstarch 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 1/2 c. green pepper, diced Dash hot sauce Put 3 tablespoons salad oil in pot. Saute onions and celery. Add next 6 ingredients in pot. Mix cornstarch with tablespoon water. Add to mixture. Then add Worcestershire sauce. Cook 1 hour and 30 minutes on low heat. Then add green pepper. Cook 10 minutes. Then add shrimp (cut in small pieces) and cook 15 minutes. Serve on rice. |
