4 c. unpared apples
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 egg
1 tbsp. melted butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. nut meats (chopped coarse)
1/2 c. dates, cut up

Combine all ingredients; stir until mixed (do not beat). Turn into greased 8x8x2 pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 40 minutes.
