MOSTACCIOLI AND MEAT SAUCE | |
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef 1 (28 oz.) can crushed tomatoes 1 c. pitted ripe olives, chopped 1 tsp. seasoned salt 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper 1 med. onion, chopped 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce 1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese 1/2 tsp. oregano leaves 1 (1 lb.) pkg. Creamette mostaccioli In Dutch oven, combine ground beef and onion. Cook until beef is browned and onion is tender. Drain. Stir in tomatoes, tomato sauce, olives, Parmesan cheese, seasoned salt, oregano and crushed red pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat. Simmer 20 minutes. Prepare mostaccioli according to package directions. Drain. Add to meat sauce. Toss to mix. Heat through. Serve with Parmesan cheese on top. 8 servings. |
