BRIDE'S CAKE 
Temperature at 350 degrees. Bake 30-35 minutes.

3/4 c. butter
1 1/4 c. sugar
2 c. cake flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. almond extract
6 egg whites

Cream the butter and add the sugar. Cream these until they are well blended. Sift the flour, baking powder and salt together and add them to the batter and sugar alternately with the milk.

Add the flavoring. Beat the egg whites until stiff, but not dry and fold them into the cake batter. Bake in two 9 inch greased layer cake pans.
