BANANA CAKE 
1 pkg. yellow cake mix
1/8 tsp. baking soda
1 c. mashed bananas
Chopped nuts

Heat oven to 325 degrees. Prepare cake mix as directed on package except stir in baking soda into mix before adding liquid and eggs. Use 1/4 cup less water in mix than directed. After mixing add bananas. You may also add chopped nuts. Pour into 13"x9" pan or 2 (8") pans. Bake oblong 40 to 45 minutes, round layers 30 to 40 minutes.

FROSTING: To any white frosting mix add 1/3 cup mashed bananas and 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice. Add fluid as needed. Sprinkle with chopped nuts.
