LEMON SPICE BARS 
1 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
1 c. quick-cooking oats, uncooked
1 1/3 c. firmly packed brown sugar
3/4 c. vegetable oil
2 eggs, slightly beaten
2 tsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 c. chopped pecans
Lemon Glaze

Combine first 6 ingredients, stirring well. Add oil, eggs, flavorings, and nuts; mix thoroughly.

Spoon batter into a greased and floured 13 by 9 by 2 inch baking pan; bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Spread glaze over top while hot. Let cool, and cut into 2 by 1 inch bars. Yield: about 5 dozen.

LEMON GLAZE:

1 1/2 to 2 c. powdered sugar
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
3 tbsp. milk

Combine all ingredients, mixing until smooth. Yield: about 3/4 cup.
