COMPANY MEAT BALLS 
1 lb. ground chuck
1/4 c. fine bread crumbs
1 egg
1 sm. can Parmesan cheese
3 tbsp. grated onion
1/4 c. (or more) flour
1 can beef consomme
1/4 c. sauterne wine
1/2 c. half & half or milk
1 sm. can sliced mushrooms with their juices

Mix ground chuck, bread crumbs, egg, Parmesan cheese and grated onion. Roll into 1 inch balls, brown in 3-4 tablespoons bacon grease. Remove meatballs from pan and to pan add the flour. Mix until smooth, about 1 minute. Add the consomme, sauterne, half & half and mushrooms. Add the meatballs and simmer 1/2 hour with lid on.
