SMOTHERED STEAK 
1 round steak
1 egg
1/2 c. milk
1 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
1 lg. onion, sliced
1 (8 oz.) can mushrooms
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can water
2 tbsp. oil

Cut steak into serving size pieces. Mix egg and milk in shallow bowl. Mix flour, salt and pepper in shallow bowl. Soak steak in egg mixture and then coat with flour mixture. Brown meat in Dutch oven with oil. Cover browned meat with mushroom soup and water. Add onions and mushrooms. Simmer 45 minutes over medium heat. Serve over noodles or rice.
