EASY LENTIL SOUP 
Boil 1 pound lentils in 2 quarts water for 1/2 hour. Reduce heat to medium.

Add: 1 large onion, chopped Chopped celery heart (inner 4 ribs and their leaves)

Add:

(If using beef broth add 1/4 cup tomato soup, ketchup or other tomato product.) Continue cooking 1/2 hour. Add: Salt to taste 2 c. egg noodles

At this point add (optional) up to 1 1/2 cups cooked meat and any leftover vegetable. Simmer 15 minutes and serve.
