BLACK CHERRY SALAD 
1 (3 oz.) pkg. black cherry gelatin
1/4 c. sugar
1 c. water
1 c. shredded American cheese
1 (8 1/4 oz.) can crushed pineapple
1 c. whipped cream (Cool Whip)

Mix gelatin, sugar and water. Cook until gelatin and sugar are dissolved; cool and add cheese and pineapple. Chill until partially set. Add whipped cream and chill until firm.
